This is still one of my favorite sets of gerbil photos. I was so proud to have a plush gerbil entertaining the troops. Which reminds me–I need to catch up on Speedy. Earlier, this year, James Rice sent me this update:

“Nothing big, but I finally got a chance to see the Jesse James is a Dead Man episode that Speedy starred in. Well, maybe not starred, but was visible in for a fraction of a second. Here’s a screen capture. If you look closely, I’m in the shot too, looking like I need a shave, a shower, and a drink. Probably not in that order.”
