  1. I’ve never commented much, but I’ve been following Narbonic almost from the very beginning.  I think a friend of mine turned me on to it sometime in early 2001.  I followed it closely right through the end, and when you started re-running it with the commentary, I happily followed along again.  I am sad to see that it is, at last, over for good.  I read (and quite enjoy) Skin Horse as well, and I read Smithson while it was going, too, but those are different comics – Narbonic was always something special.  I know the archive is still here, and there’s always books, but those, too, aren’t quite the same.

Anyway, I just wanted to say, amazing job, and thank you.

  2. Same boat as Rand, here. Been reading Narbonic off a link from Websnark since way back in ’04 or so, been coming back every day since then. Every time I reread it I get bummed that it’s ending, and now I’m bummed again. x] Thanks for everything, Shaenon. It was fantastic. 🙂

  3. I’ve been reading this comic since I found it through TVTropes a couple years ago, and I can say without a doubt, this is my favorite webcomic ever. I’m really sad to see it’s totally done now, but good things can’t last forever. Thank you very much for making it, Shaenon!

  4. So, any chance of seeing a “where are they now” in a couple of years? ‘Cause I don’t want Narbonic to end, I wanna see more, nyao!

Aw, well, it was fun while it lasted. And thanks, Shaenon, for creating this crazy ride and letting us join in on it.

  5. A friend of mine was reading a comic book in math class and I asked what it was. So he showed me.
I never thought I’d get something this amazing out of finishing my homework early.
I’m a bit late to the party, but thank you so much for this wonderful story.
    I really enjoyed it.

  6. I just finished another reread, and have to say thanks. This and skin horse were the two comics that got me into webcomics, and I just wanted to say thanks for making my life that much better!

  7. Thanks for all the mad science nonsense you’ve given us over the years. I haven’t been able to get into Skin Horse as easily as I fell in love with Narbonic, hoping to fix that soon. It’s a shame that, when I first found the comic back in high school, it had already concluded for several years, but the commentary was still running.

Thank you for everything, and I’m sure I’ll revisit the comic to reread it again in the future.
