The T-Shirt Contest Still Continues
February 17, 2008 ~ 2 Comments
And now…more runners-up in the Narbonic Summer T-Shirt Contest! This is Karen Veltri, sailing in Annapolis. She writes, “What you can’t see are all the other boats getting away from ours as fast as possible for fear of collision… It’s not the most exotic of places, but I figure any time someone has other people’s lives in her hands, it makes for a better vacation!” Very true.
And this is Jim Maiwurm in Europe. The first picture shows him in front of the palace of Versailles in France, “which I think would make a swell weekend place after I take over the world.”
And here’s Jim “pondering Dave’s fate while standing in front of Rodins “Gates of Hell” sculpture in the Musee d’Orsay in Paris, France.”
This might be the first Sunday showcase featuring only people I didn’t personally know. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost Jim Maiwurm’s photos! Jim, if you’re out there, I’m really sorry. Your photos were great.
UPDATE: Joseph Winston was kind enough to send me the missing photos. Thanks so much, Joseph!
One of my favourite daydreams when walking through the city is deciding which of the nearby buildings would make an appropriate palace for me, should I suddenly become the post-disaster ruler of the world.
I’m sorry Leon, but Gates of Hell for the win.
