So many flannels… Also, check out the multiple Dave heads! So great, and yet so creepy!
Another cover by Joseph White, this time for the climactic storyline, “Professor Madblood and the Everlasting Ices of the North:”
Joseph writes: It was surprisingly difficult to find a picture of a cooling tower that wasn’t lit from the side; I had put one in, and then realized, frustrated, that the shadows were all wrong. That’s a geodesic dome under the forcefield, and yes, that’s the shadow of the hamster death island approaching.
Thanks so much, Joseph! I’m really digging these.
… Why would you want to give Dave a cigarette? He’s never smoked…
tune: “Rudolf, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” Johnny Marks. Another Christmas song I don’t like, although I find this one merely cloying. It sadly lacks the existential pathos and satisfying coda of “Frosty the Snowman.” Anyway, it’s Hannukah and Christmas at our home, so best wishes to everyone.
Dave’s wearing chili boxers
Underneath his khaki pants
Helen approves: He rocks her
When she sees London and France
Underneath all that flannel
Is libido he’ll assert
And we can’t even see his
Incredible Hulk t-shirt
Then, one evening, in the lab
Helen came to say
“Changing sexes brings delight
Won’t you be my girl tonight?”
Then how they copulated
As they shouted out with glee
Helen, in chili boxers
Dave in her pink Evil tee
I find it slightly unlikely that Helen would dare designate that shade of pink for the official Narbonics Labs employee polo shirt.
I got my Narbonic Perfect Collection for Christmas! It was … dare I say … the PERFECT gift! (Did I ever tell you I love my wife?)
(TUNE: “Nuttin’ For Christmas”, Sid Tepper and Roy C. Bennett)
Christmas morning, gave a shout!
Joan got a book for me!
(Hinted when it first came out!)
Joan got a book for me!
Also got a pocket knife,
Socks enough to last for life!
Best of all, my lovely wife,
Joan got a book for me!
I got Narbonic for Christmas!
Perfect Collection is mine!
I got Narbonic for Christmas!
My bookshelf is lookin’ so fine!
Leon, that’s not a polo- it’s the top of the Official Lab Pajamas.
