It’s Cyrano de Bergerac because he wrote several pieces of VERY early scifi (1657!!) about going to the moon. You can get them from Project Gutenberg. Never too late to share the classics!

And yet, a couple issues later when they fight the Hapax Legomenon, Mell can clearly be seen in the background attacking him with a cannon! Perhaps she smuggled it on board, or does Victorian Mell have even greater control over Hammerspace than her descendent?

Hmmm... I'd have said "it has to be de Bergerac..."

But upon reading that page, it occurs to me that Jones is an equally likely candidate.
