I personally think it’s a bit unfortunate that the waning star of The Matrix has poisoned the reception of this particular chapter, insofar as it is impossible not to think of it as you behold that familiar curtain of green symbols. If this was produced a mere five years prior or hence, I suspect that the familiar, perennially fashionable Tron Lines would be used to portray this virtual environment.
