In my senior year, I had Dave and three other characters (two of them named Dave) move into off-campus housing together, mainly because I and three friends (not named Dave) were doing the same. I also had Dave and Sara break up, because loneliness and misery are much funnier than love.

MPR: Multi-Purpose Room, the common room in each dorm.
NSO: Nonhuman Student Organization, the campus sci-fi club. I was First Minister of the NSO at the time.


Narbonic pretty much picks up exactly where that strip leaves off. As graduation loomed, I realized that I would no longer have the excuse to draw comic strips. At about that time some friends introduced me to webcomics, and, like many a fool before and after, I immediately thought, "Hey, I can do that!" And here I am. Think about it, won't you?
