Trunktown

Man, Trunktown was fun to work on. I’d like to do more someday, but, y’know, there’s a lot of comics I’d like to do more of.
But enough of that! It’s Halloween! Time for costumes! What we have here are writer Wm Saunders of ontheblob.net and his family last Halloween.
Wm writes:
The group of pictures is of my wife, our two younger daughters and myself last Halloween. Mary chose (on October 30th) to embrace her inner Mad Scientist, inspired by the pink hearted Evil of Narbonic.
As it was much to late to purchase an actual “Evil” t-shirt, a quick run to Goodwill and Walmart (oooh, TRUE evil) supplied us with two lab coats, a white t-shirt, and laser printer iron-on sheets. Wanting the Narbonic vibe without totally ripping you off, we went with the “Evil Genius” from “Lilo & Stitch” with Narbonic heart dots.
She still wears the shirt, usually when we go furniture shopping.
Our youngest daughter Charlotte went as an ‘inside-out’ baby lab experiment, and since I could not bring myself to allow our middle daughter Anastasia to dress like Mel, she went the Girl Genius route as an Airship Pirate. Either way she would have been our adorable little thug, and as she wants to be a bio-weapons researcher for the Marines, she may be the Maddest of us all.
I went as iGOR, the faithful lab assistant (I’m from Apple! It has a small i!) The lab coat I found had elastic loops on the chest perfect for test tubes. We put small glow sticks in them and the effect was freaky cool.
Thanks, Saunders family! Happy Halloween!
Yay! Happy Halloweeeen!

Some years ago,
Our Shaenon Garrity co-
Produced a comic strip…
Trunktown!
Rappers on elephants
And battles and strange events,
A crazy trip!
Trunktown!
Created in collaboration with a guy named Tom Hart!
Shaenon wrote the silly words and Tom produced the dumb art!
Man, it was cool …
So read it, improve your lives,
Just go to WebComicsNation, it’s in the archives!
Yes, it’s
Trunktown!
First part of story’s done!
Trunktown!
It was a lot of fun!
Trunktown!
Sit down and read it one
Day!
Now, it may have been unintentional, but even dressed like an Airship Pirate… that girl still looks like Mell!
